You can support Lima Kokua Inc. by making a donation at any Foodland, Sac N Save, or Foodland Farms store during the month of September. 100% of your gift will go directly to our organization and Foodland will match a portion of your contribution.

Here’s how to support Lima Kokua at checkout:
1) Enter your Maika’i phone number or present your Maika’i card.
2) Tell the cashier: “I’d like to make a donation to LIMA KOKUA INC., code 77370.
3) Review your receipt to confirm the organization name and donation amount are correct.

Customers may donate any amount up to $249.

A special social event to visit and enjoy the spirit of the Holiday Season! In honor of Bob Madison, who proposed this event earlier this year, for us to gather and celebrate. We’ll experience the Honolulu City Lights displays from downtown to Thomas Square, followed by a jaunt through Waikiki to see the sights and spread holiday cheer.

Saturday December 27th, we’ll gather starting at 5:00pm. Trolley ride starts at 6:00pm. Open to Lima Kokua members and their guests . $35.00 per person, includes pre-ride refreshments!

Foodland’s Matching Gift Program

Provide your gift to Lima Kokua by either:

Foodland will match a portion of every donation. The program runs from September 1st – 30th.

Foodland does not provide us donors’ names. To notify us of your gift and receive a tax receipt please keep and provide us a copy of your store receipt, which includes the details of your donation.

Theatre Night Social at Kumu Kahua Theatre

A night for us to celebrate and support Playwright and Board Member Sara Ward!

Our Kokua: 2024 – 2025

Through the years, with help from our members and Outreach Committee, Lima Kōkua has lent a helping hand to small 501(c)3 nonprofit charity organizations that are under funded, under appreciated, and/or under served. Our mission remains unchanged: to help improve the lives of those less fortunate in Hawaii.

Over the past decade we have updated our bylaws to align with current Hawaii statutes and regulations, formed and improved new internal committees, and partnered with the Hawaii Community Foundation to establish and administer the Lima Kōkua Scholarship Program – awarded yearly to qualified applicants.

Thus far in 2025 we have aided these local 501(c)3 nonprofit charity organizations with donations:

In 2024 we also supported Family Promise Hawaii, Touch A Heart, Camp Anuenue, and HHHRC. Additionally in 2024 we provided donations to:
